Back when I was in the mattress business since we sold mostly innersprings we referred to mem foam as having "passive" resistance and springs as having "active" resistance which was a direct referral to the advantages/disadvantages of copulating on one or the other. Doubt it made much difference to most buyers though.

Is that what you named it?

It's all starting to make sense now.

Well, woman. And she didn't have a lot of sense to start with. But hey.

Never knew how difficult it was to shop for a mattress until now. Between fake online reviews, bloggers getting incentives to write positive reviews, companies having a million different names for the same mattress, and bed in a box online stores popping up every week.....

My wife and I bought a Simmons Luxury Firm World Class Recharge (model name doesn't mean a thing) a month ago and while she thinks it's fine, I think it's a little firm. After reading way too much information online we decided to test out an Alexander Hybrid by Nest Bedding. I'll let you know how it goes.

Glad to hear some positive reviews on Casper and Saatva. I thought it might all be marketing.

800 bedding mfgs in the US...most make pretty good products. Find the bed you like and feels the best and buy it from a quality, known, respected local retailer if possible.

Tempur-Pedic saved my marriage! They are expensive and I've heard there are comparable products out there that are quite a bit less. They are foam and if motion / restless sleeping is an issue, I highly recco.

We have sort of a sick number of beds between different places and they're almost all Casper at this point, they are good. Very psyched to crawl in mine in a little while.

The tempurpedic we have at home is still my most comfy bed, but when I tried to buy another one that was the same it was impossible because of model/name/quality changes. So, Casper. and no regrets.

Very happy with my Costco foam and memory foam mattress after 7 years. The thing doesn't have the slightest indentation or sagging. Only cost $650.

Yea, this was before they had a ton of options. I think it is now the "standard" model. 10" thick.

Only complaint is the fucker is heavy.

Gracias señor. I would guess Costcos return policy works on these too, which might be a good thing.

Correct on the return policy. Years ago I bought one of their memory foam mattresses, found it way too firm. Returned it without any issues (I think they actually sent someone to pick it up as it's not practical to take to the store). Ended up buying a Tempurpedic from Montanaskier when he owned a store.

We went Casper recently. Good mattress but certainly not a game changer in how I sleep. I sleep terrible no matter what.

We bought some Tuft & Needle mattresses for our second home and so far we've been happy with them. Not as soft but pretty comfortable overall, and a hell of a lot cheaper.

Turned my mom's house into a corporate rental property. The management company had a discount on T&N products so we went that way. Talked to the current tenant, who is highly pregnant and here to have the baby (they are foreign service) and she loves it.

Wife laid down on the mattress after we had opened them a few days earlier. She didn't like how it felt. I thought it was fine. Oh well... guess we'll keep looking.

I gotta say that out of the two we got the King mattress stank like hell for 2 days after opening, the queen only for about an hour.

Make sure your tenant doesn't give birth in the apartment. That could be...messy.
    No longer stuck.

Don't care - PM Company pays for the cleaning. Would make for a cool story, especially since my Mom died in that house in October. Good JuJu following bad, as it were.

It's me, not the mattress. Years of work that wakes me in the middle of the night has permanently screwed up my sleep patterns. The mattress itself is very comfortable.

When my wife decided we needed to upgrade from my ancient hotel cast-off, we spent way too much time trying out every premium mattress available. Payed more than I ever would have thought reasonable (even with the floor model discount) on a Tempurpedic, and have never regretted it since. Not only is it supremely comfortable, but but when sharing a bed it's incredible how well it isolates movement.

just saw this,,,,,not impressed with my tempurpedic after several years......sleeps very hot for one. might have to grab one; great prices
