Energex is better foam, for me.
From way back, heavier foam is usually better/more durable but 4 pound foam will be a rock. 2-3 pound foam is about right.

My Juna opens up and you can change the stack and put latex, gel foam or energex foam on top. I put the energex on top.
Shopping for a queen mattress to be delivered to my parents' house for their guest bed. Looking for something firmer than a Casper.
Spelling error builds confidence. Did Trump design their web page? Regardless, it's below the $1,000 mark.is not the JUNA way, instead it's set at a fare price
I have an Englander (made in Portland OR) in my guest room that people rave about. I've not slept on it myself but for the 100th time I love my Beautyrest Black (plush-firm model).

I have a 8 year old Sleep Innovations 10" that has no sagging and is quite firm. It's held up better than any mattresse Ive had. Only downside is no bounce.
I'm looking for a king now after the move. Probably going with either the Novaform or another Sleep Innovations. Costco ftw.
Awoke this morning consciously thankful that we got a Loom & Leaf firm king mattress nearly one year ago. Big fat reco, 5 stars
We have three tuft and needles in our second home and everyone seems to love them so far after the first year. Firm but soft.
https://www.mattressnerd.com/tuft-and-needle/
"The Tuft and Needle mattress is a 10 inch polyurethane foam mattress made in America. There is no memory foam, no latex foam, and no coils. The top 3 inches of the mattress is made of a proprietary formulation of pressure-relieving foam (they call it triple-layer blended foam). While it’s not technically latex or memory foam, it has some of the properties of each. It feels fairly similar to memory foam, but it is a little more bouncy (but not as bouncy as latex foam). Underneath that foam is 7 inches of a high density support foam that most foam mattresses have. The surface (or “ticking” as we call it in the bed biz) is a synthetic rayon/polyester blend. This is a fairly simple, straightforward mattress with no frills, which leads to the lower price point."
Polyurethane foam isn't going to be anywhere as good long term as energex, latex or memory foam.
T and F is really a marketing company, their beds were designed and made for a price point by a bedding supplier. They don't hold any patents or new ideas.
So is the newer Casper firmer than what I tried last summer, I hope?
My parents are Costco members. Sounds like Sleep Innovations is available there?
The Juna website has so many typos I refuse to give them my business.![]()

Aight this one's on sale for $515 approx, shipped, for Prime members: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QSEK2Y6...n_xx_P3075_200
Kinda sick of all the contradictory reviews on mattresses.

"I really like the mattress and I like the way these guys do business. Can't bitch about the price either! On top of that, as it were, it makes for a great sex platform too...and at my age I need a slow comfortable screw!

anyone have any experience with these cheap ones? reviews ain't bad....

That one looks like a really decent build, for a low end mattress. "3-inches of a 3 lb density gel memory foam" is nice(2.5-3# is my fav) at $515 you are $400 away from getting energex foam and a better core from somebody else.
https://www.amazon.com/Zinus-Respons...mattress&psc=1
Zinus seems to make one at the bottom end $200-$500 that might be worth consideration as well. It's half of what you have $ above and would feel pretty close.
These are all made in China though and I'd be surprised if the glue they use didn't give Chinese kids cancer.
If you need a frame...
Zinus seems to be the best built, cheap, steel base but the center legs are too close to the edges of the frame. I smash my toes into them once in a while and wish death upon the prick that didn't move them in 8". Other than that, they are the best frame for the money.
Years ago my wife's and I bought a Sleep Number queen. It's rad for us because I'm over a foot taller and almost 100 lbs heavier than her so I can set up my half of the bed to support my busted up body. And it's rad for moving. Deflate, roll it up. Done
While you're looking, get rid of your old one and get one of these......you MIGHT even stick with it for while - they are THAT good!!!
$60 at Walmart.
The one pictured is their 22" high model. I've tried the 13" instead....it fits my Ikea slat-type bedframe in the guest room well. The 22" is very high.
They have a built-in airpump, so they are adjustable in firmness.
Don't laugh! I swear I thought these were goingto feel like a cheap inflatable mattress....I was totally surprised by how comfortable they are. They have some sort of velour coating infused onto the surface, so no plasticy feel.
Has this one been discussed? Just saw it in a pop-up ad:
