Gunks a few weeks ago. Almost forgot how fun that place was.
"The idea wasnt for me, that I would be the only one that would ever do this. My idea was that everybody should be doing this. At the time nobody was, but this was something thats too much fun to pass up." -Briggs
More stoke, less shit.
No. I'm coming from Baltimore so when the weather looks prime my routine is usually leave around 4am on Saturday morning and make it down there in roughly 4.5 hours. Climb all day, then pies and pints for dinner. Usually try to be at the crag by 8ish Sunday morning and climb til around 2 then head home. It's really not that bad as long as I've got someone else in the car with me.
since i suck at climbing i've been getting after some scenics recently.
late september on tahoe's east shore

This thread is fueling the stoke, awesome pics everyone!
Rosy Crucifixion in eldo 11/3. Holy shit is that route good! And really, really hard too, but I'm just starting to really climb 5.10 on gear
We ran into Lynn Hill on our way down the vertigo rappels. That was really cool
Can't post pictures from my phone, but..
I'm in the French Pyrenees, add the climbing here is unbelievable.
Huge walls everywhere, mostly limestone, but some granite too.
Lots of bolted routes, trad too.
And very few people.
Then a few hours away, tautavel, 180 + sport routes, and Rodellar in Spain, hundreds of sport routes, a bit more people, but beautiful.
here are some shots from my annual autumn fontainbleau trip with the Boys mostly parcours bouldering because after 3months of surfing my attempts at sending hard stuff were limited. I only tried les formis rouges (7C /V9) one of the big five in cuvier rempart, but i failed miseably.
contemplating the beta
the blue circuit in roche du Potala it has 36 Problems and there are four circuits in that area plus all the hard off circuit boulders. Fontainebleau has more than 20.000 boulder Problems.
16 red in Roche du Potala. I AM ANGRY!"only" a 5b V1, but a single move boulder. Tehse red circuits are superhard in some supposed 6a/6B or v2/3 s i idid not notice any difference to modern V6 /7A s
me in formis rouges V9 /7C I only got the 7A part to the crux
red17 in roche du potala one of 20.000 gourmet Boulders

Haven't been on here in a while. Here is a quick clip of a recent trip to Hueco. If you haven't been there and you're into pebble wrestling, do yourself a favor and go.
PS Sorry for the poor video quality. Gotta work with what ya got.
