fwiw, i don't think there are generally coupon codes available that work on sale items, even for employees. the only one that does is a 10% off coupon, but those are staff only and only get you the 10%, which usually doesn't amount to much.

rei members will soon receive their annual dividend and with that the 20% off coupon - which comes w all sorts of restrictions, but works on a ton of stuff.

Not that I have one anymore, but they do exist. Last year I ordered something online which went out of stock after I ordered but before they shipped. The cancellation email contained a one-time 20% off ANYTHING code which did work on sale items. Good luck finding another one, though--I've been an REI member for 25 years and never seen another one.

Member sale starts on March 28 I believe. Might as well at least wait til then and see

Member sale code is save20 starts 3/28-4/13 but you have to be a member and it's off the highest priced item in your cart only.
