    Grand Targhee

Contemplating last minute trip to JH and Grand Targhee. I know they call it Grand Foggy, but is the fog really that bad? I have hit fog at JH 3 out of 5 days last trip. How comparable is the fog to JH out of a five day trip? How many days would you expect Grand Targhee to be socked in out of 5 if anyone rides there consistently? Also, just curious for future reference, what are the top 3 foggiest resorts in the West or PNW?

    Thanks.

Expect 4 out 5 to be foggy unless it's a Tuesday, Tuesday's are always clear especially during March. On the Pea Souper fog scale Jackson is usually rated at a 5 or 6 on a 1 to 10 scale where as Targhee is often at 7 to even 9! That's some serious fog!

Seriously tho, I think you may be over thinking this shit.

Now take that plug out of your vagina and book your flight, life is a fleeting experience and one that as a skier is best spent as much as possible away from Pennsylvania.

Anyone hoping to experience true PNW fog needs to check out Mt Spokane. Soupiest fog this side of the Mississippi! I'd say at least a 4.647 out of 5...

As far as the northwest goes there are more important things that separate the resorts then fog

Agreed. Chair 1 is a vortex of fog likely unmatched anywhere...
