A bit of a click bait confusing headline. Is this CSP throwing CDOT under the bus?

Had to go to breck last night at 4pm. Total shitshow of every kind of shit driver imaginable. Pretty entertaining. Luckily i didnt get hit.
So if CDOT’s not enforcing chains CSP just sits on their ass?

Crazy how a crash in Georgetown leads to total gridlock in Dilverthorne. And on a sunny day. Also saw the mountain recovery boys pulling a CDOT plow out on hwy6. So that was causing backups the other direction. Pass is closed too. Classic summit county!
Amazon semi truck had to get towed out of abasin and us6 down to keystone is stopped. Rumor is a jacknifed semi. Of course Loveland pass is closed. I'm used to normal I70 traffic issues but everything that could go wrong today did.
CDOT says post-New Year’s Day weekend traffic could break records on I-70

Tried to go to eagle county today. Traffic backup from copper to frisco stop and go. Fuck that. Cant wait till this weekend is over and traffic can die down.
got my fill of 70 yesterday morning, knew it was a mistake and I did it anyway to ski with friends. 3.5 hrs to copper from denver. home was no issue at all at 1:20 mins
red tag plate mashed throttles spinning, no chain semis spinning, and even a compliant no load flatbed semi with chains spinning. everything but CSP in sight for the hat trick.
welp, I get bit once or twice a year by 70.
You are NOT in traffic, you ARE traffic!!!
3.5 hours?! So painful but I’m sure it was worth it. Looked deeeeep at Copper.
This weekend is going to be Epikonic like it’s never been Epikonic before. **vibes**
CDOT predicts recording breaking traffic lmfao

Copper was deeeep. I had to work until 11:30 but even the leftovers were very tasty.
Why can’t Copper figure out this parking situation? They don’t park both Far East and Alpine at the same time and traffic all has to funnel to one lane to access Alpine, resulting in a huge backup onto I70, blocking thru traffic as well!! It shouldn’t take 30+ minutes to park after getting to the exit. Fucking idiots.
It will be much better when they eventually start charging to park at Alpine and Far East. Obviously everyone will load up 4-5 per a car and help save the environment. No way would paid parking be a money grab.
Was dumping in steamboat this afternoon, hoping tomorrow's skiing makes the drive home worth it.
When we drove up Friday night, tons of cars heading east and only a medium amount heading west.. Overheard a Texan at the hot springs saying he was leaving in the morning so I'm hoping lots of people have left or are leaving without skiing tomorrow. A guy can dream!

The two midweek holidays plus snow has made it into three weeks of holiday business. Hopefully a breather after today..
