It came from “parking revenue recovery services”. No idea who actually owns the lot. I think I’ll dispute it and then pay it if it goes nowhere. Just fucking annoying that now we’re constantly being watched…what is this, China?

It's a civil matter. You can dispute. You can refuse. They can go for collections, you can dispute that too and take it to small claims. IANAL. Did they have signage?

I don't either. I think the automated speed cameras in construction zones are a great idea.
Of course, I'm the guy in the far right lane going the speed limit in construction zones. TBH, in the zones between Genesee and Floyd Hill I kind of feel like a danger, as everyone else is generally going 20 over.
That company is used all over the state now, and is also part of the long saga going on right now in the lot in Avon near where Sports Authority used to be. They've managed all the paid lots at Steamboat for a few years now.
They put so many words into their signage that nobody reads the fine print. Used to be you had to pay within the first 10 minutes otherwise you will get sent a ticket, like I did (their rules have changed now I guess b/c of lawsuits and what not in any case, depending on which lot).
I was booting up in the lower Knoll lot on a pow day with every intention to pay $15 for some weekday pow turns. Fuck me I got sent an $80 bill even though I PAID, just not within the 10 minute window written in small print on their sign that reads like a contract/ten commandments. Like who tf is going to slow down to read this long-ass sign at the entrance when there are people behind you waiting to get into the lot as well. You drive in like a normal human being, boot up/put contact lenses in/safety check and then pay.
Took me a few emails but they finally dismissed it after about a week of back and forth. I played Karen and I think they got tired of dealing with me after I asked to escalate it to their manager, lol. It wasn't about the money, I freaking paid goddammit and it was the prinicipal of it all. Serious sharkiness going on with that company- their signs SUCK and they know ppl don't read them.
Might be worth it to ya.
Maybe next time put your contacts in at home and pay right away when you arrive at lot?

How are private parking companies getting access to vehicle registration data and owners addresses??
Sounds pretty sketchy to me

Don't fall for it, obviously skaredshtles is running the show at Parking Revenue Recovery Services!
interstate parking is the company that "manages" breckenridge idaho springs and golden and plenty more
they are straight up predatory kind of like the towing company in denver wyatts
since they are in cahoots with the gov't don't look for any help
they just put up large terms and conditions signs in small print all over breck recently
more sign pollution
of course it will take the average idiot like me 5-10 minutes to read and understand all the legal bs wouldn't you want to read what you are signing up for before doing it????
they have moved on from public lots to private lots patient's at drs appts getting tickets even though they are suppose to have free parking it's so awesome
tickets in breck are around 50 a pop I pay out a couplehundred dollars a year in parking violations and fight some of them when I can
if you don't pay within 10 days the cost doubles
their machines and apps constantly fail and don't relay the payment info to the meter maid righting tickets
it has gotten so out of control
but interstate is making bank and they toss a bunch back to the lot owners and the local towns so it's like free money
I'd really like to look into the financials cause the money is unreal
^can confirm
I won't cry if those responsible die in a grease fire

I don't download apps or the parking app cause they are tracking you and they see how much porn I look at
Those puppies go in at the last minute and come out first thing, I fucking hate them, only wear them while skiing. And yeah, maybe I gave my bases a quick brush and wax touch up before heading to the kiosk, but that's none of their business.![]()
I got out of paying those dickheads an additional $80. And that day was a surprise pow day, I normally don't ever pay for parking, usually am in free lot before it's ever an issue. That lot is now $30 on weekdays, $40-60 on weekends. Fuck em.
Keep in mind too that this was the first season this lot required payment, it's always been free in the past. I knew it was a pay lot and I paid. I had no idea you had to walk out of your car and pay first thing before getting ready. I can't imagine how many parents with toddlers got tickets even though they also paid. They have since posted 4 more of the same signs in that lot but it's still predatory as they know people don't read them. The font is tiny as fuck. Serious.

So I go online to pay the $80 dollars and I couldn’t find the invoice by number or my license plate number. Then I call and the woman says it was cancelled. Huh?
