the blast wall they are building east of the twin tunnels is some crazy ass shit just knarly and big
been at it for a few weeks now
lined the blast side with old tires
and they are going to blast the shit out of the rock wall and keep the highway open other than 20m delays you know

Also, it was backed up going up on Golden Gate canyon, which I've never seen.
Assuming there were people heading to Blackhawk, but maybe some are going the long way around to i70?

left snowmass yesterday afternoon and had smooth sailing back to breck. My buddy figured it might be faster to go over independence (even though maps said otherwise) and got almost to the top when there was either just too many leafers or a crash which forced him to stop then turnaround back toward i70. Told him trying to do a mtn pass where it goes to single lanes at spots on a leafer sunday probably wasn't the best idea.

yesterday or today??? I was the BS traffic heading home sunday, got out of camp by 10 am and was easy drive out of BV but I took back routes out of town to avoid the shit show, typical slowdown in Fairplay while they work on the bridge for another 10 years.

Actually made great progress on 285 up until Jefferson and the leaf crowd was in full force for kenosha pass.

Its cool you want to go see trees.... can you not fucking walk down the middle of 285 with 2 dogs blocking traffic both ways? sigh....
