They turned around my gal at Herman Gulch and made her go back east. They were telling people to go over Berthoud. She is going over Guanella.

Crazy how a busy weekend just ramps up and then a few crashes can send everything into lockdown. RIP to the guy and his dog. Sad. I was lucky enough to get my trip to Alma canceled early in the day and start the weekend early. Would have sucked to be over there and sitting in traffic all day to get back over hoosier. Think I'll hunker down in the hood for the weekend. Should be nice.

Yes, just fucking busy. Yes, you are traffic. But more than anything I think it is distracted driving. Not just phones, but the infotainment BS. Driving used to be an engaging activity, now it is just an afterthought to the whole in vehicle experience.

I really try to not go near Grand Lake on holiday weekends. Hwy 34 seems like this is the epicenter of this activity. And sure as shit, about noon on Thursday I was driving back from a meeting and saw a lady coming the other way force a row of cars onto the shoulder. As she went don't she was clearly looking down. She had no idea what was even happening.

And yesterday I cyclist was killed on 40 in Parshall. I drove by the mangled bike. And then driving back at 9:30 choads litterally just stopped on 40 in the middle of the road to watch fireworks at the Rodeo.

Good luck if you have to drive this shitbox road today.

Haven't driven all weekends. Bikes only. Legs are tired but never a problem with traffics.

Definitely good to avoid the traffic, but unfortunately I have to make an early morning trip to Denver tomorrow am so I have to once again brave the I70 hellscape. Pray for me.

Took me 6.5 hours to drive from Erie to Ohaver Lake on Thursday. Fuck that sucked. I just wasn't on my traffic planning game, made some rookie mistakes.

Left at 8am this morning and smooth sailing.
