Semi overturned WB of the tunnel, closing the tunnels for the whole morning today. JFC
I70 closed at the tunnel WB and EB of course, because a little snow fell. Fucking so frustrating.
Took me 4 hours from A-Basin. 2 hours sitting in a Silverthorne parking lot and then 2 once they opened I70. The worst was actually sitting idling in the tunnel for 20 minutes under almost two thousand feet of mountain above. They were not metering but traffic stopped to a crawl as you entered all because it was so slippery on the other side. Nothing so bad that real winter tires would have handled just fine. I’m so pissed politicians here won’t do something useful and have a real traction or chain law like CA. Almost every other vehicle did not have correct tires as usual and of course were sliding sideways.
This. And with all the revenue from handing out tickets we could finally afford to build the monorail.

You can't regulate these idiots unless you want a police force 100x bigger with the ability to pull you over for just looking like a person in violation. So my solution is just ban trucks. Fight me
Right? 99% of this country is too soft to live local. The hippies tried it and look where it got them. Either burnt out or left for Mexico
If we can't have an EpicGondola or IkonicTram, I'd prefer an elevated traction law in big storms. AWD/4WD AND snows required!
Also don't California my Colorado. It's already happening but fuck that state and their government power trip.
The gmaps maroon snake shows I70 stopped from the Copper parking to almost Frisco. JFC [emoji23][emoji23]
They tweeted that all parking was full around 11:45
Fuck those guys
