Last night I passed a cop on I-70. He was only going about 45 and I was going around 60. I was confident that he had better things to do than pull me over, but in my head I kept thinking that he could. Can't they say that when you're going beyond a 'reasonably safe speed' in snowy conditions that they can pull you over?

This was a first for me...between The Tunnel and Bakersville, traffic was pretty jammed up this afternoon since it was dumping, but the traffic was flowing about 40mph. Then all of a sudden, all the vehicles in front of me jammed their brakes hard, almost to the point of full skidding, then we were crawling for a minute at 10 mph...then I could see what was going on ahead...a tiny sedan in the LEFT lane going 20-25, with its blinkers on. The right lane was empty next to it and was clear of snow. The fucking asshole would not move over and everyone passed right, each time yelling back at the car. Lucky there wasn't a fucking ten car wreck bc of this douche.

I'm convinced that this same guy just keeps doing laps between Vail and Dumont. Saw him monday.

My favorite is how the highway comes to a complete stop and you wait 15 minutes, move gradually faster forward and it was caused by...apparently nothing whatsoever.

I've passed a few cops here and there, like often, most of the time nothing happens, 5-8 over wont get you pulled over, I"ve also been pulled over each time given some bs lecture about driving too fast for the conditions and a warning ticket, the trick is to be going the speed limit or slightly over in the shitty condition deal, its arguable whether I was going to fast for the conditions

this summer I was riding with a cop down to denver, i'd pass him at 75, I'd slow down, then he'd pass me, we kept doing this back and forth from the west side of the tunnel to silver floom, next thing I know he slows down pulls some jack moves, tails me, then gets over, I keep gassing it and he disappears, I"m like what the fuck bro, turn the corner and traffic fucking jamb, should have followed him

One thing I do like is how CA highways have those lane reflectors...that would be a nice add to I70

Those LED (?) reflectors between CC Parkway and Floyd Hill are pretty cool at night. Interested to see how they hold up through winter.
