Wow! Shitty, I did not even notice that when I looked. I guess the dirt did a pretty good job of disguising it. Have fun with the 5010 though, should be sweet!
So a couple of my buds decide to try the Strava app, so I got on it also. My first time using it was at my local lunchtime trails that I've built and one other guy has done work also. I end the thing and all this shit comes up saying, I'm 7th place this that the other thing...wtf! It was just funny to find out how many people are riding the trails I built and that's just the ones on Strava. Pretty cool. The problem is that someone named trails (segments) and that isn't their f'n name!! ...joking...kind of![]()
^as if being last up every time isn't enough, a digital readout of my lameness? great.![]()
It's not tragic to die doing what you love.

Anyone looking to unload a L gravity bike? I'm tired of hammering my trail bike on lift-served.
I've got an 08 fox 40 rc2 (green or blue ti spring or +$50 for both) with a risse racing direct mount top crown and some 729 hoops laced to sun demon (150x12) rear and formula (20mm) front hubs im looking to move if you decide to build something up. $500 for both, will put fresh oil and seals in the legs of the fork but the damper will probably need to be rebuilt in another 40 hours or so. Lots of scratches on the lowers, but they're all cosmetic, stanchions are clean. Still a very good fork. I can take pics if you're interested and will be in NH Lakes Region next weekeend or sept. 20-21. I've also got a buddy thats probably trying to sell his Carbon Fury at the end of the season and would be at highland one of the closing weekends - he's getting sponsored next year so he has to move it. Otherwise in good shape.
I wear crocs for the style, not the comfort.
big air for an old dude!
So, my little local trails were sabotaged once again.
They tore apart a bridge we had built over a blow down and the destroyed the teeter totter. Took the wood and tossed it somewhere. Then they threw a bunch of debris/trees over our trails. There is no doubt that it's a hunter(s) that go out there. Such douche bags.![]()
Anyone want to ride KT tomorrow afternoon (4pm ish). Have a 2 for 1 ticket...
That shit sucks.
Here's some cool HIghland footage an old classmate of mind posted (check it out at 1:10).

yeah, good question.
It is a small amount of acreage (since its on the coast) and the properly lines look like a jigsaw puzzle. I have data on the landowners for one side, but the other town does not publish theirs online. I reached out to the tax collector for the data. No reply yet.
BUT, there is a group of hunters that formed a committee to try and block us. The committee has since fallen apart because they knew they would be screwed. The need written permission to hunt on private land. Mtn bikers need nothing to ride. Building may be different storyRegardless, we've had run-ins with a couple hunters already. I take the high road, but they are testing our patience. We do have an attorney that rides with us, so we have that going for us

As you've told me generally where it is, sounds like they're lazy hunters. There's plenty of sparsely populated towns about. If you have a specific group that rides it and landowner permission, you may want to talk to the local cops and give them a list of cars that are ok to park by it, with others being towed. That's how we finally excised people from hunting on my Dad's land, since they'd rip down the POSTED signs and claim ignorance.
Actually Schuss, that isn't the spot. 'Our' local place is fine...since it's already posted no trespassing! It has some segments listed on strava and that is how others are finding it. I can't believe how many are riding out there now. I just hope they do some of the fall clean up this yr and not steal any more of my shit! I haven't built anything out there...meaning bridges or teeter etc. Only raked in new trails and cleared downed trees through the openings in the woods. Path of least resistance.
Spot I'm speaking of is in Hampton - North Hampton. Certainly not worth driving to, it's truly just for locals (and kids) to do a quick little fun ride. It's truly tiny as far as acreage and its flat.
So I'm planning to ride Blue Mountain down in Peekskill, NY for the first time this weekend. Anyone have a good recommendation for a 2-3 hr loop for a group of mixed ability levels? (All solid riders, some are just more willing to attempt difficult stuff than others). Also, any good lunch spots near the trails?
