Cho Oyu Mounting Point

Picked up some 182s for an every day Wasatch ski. Where do I want to mount these? 5' 10" 175 lbs for reference. Pairing them with TLT-6 P's or Alien 1.0s depending on the day.

Easy to do! I am having great fun on my 182s. Skiing them every where and surprised just how good they really are in any condition.

I've also been skiing a pair of 174cm Cho's as my fast/light Wasatch ski. Mounted on the line with Speed Radicals and using them with TLT6Ps and happy. It's taking a little getting used to as this is the smallest/lightest ski I have ever toured with but they're ridiculously light and surprisingly fun. I hope you enjoy them!

Let you know when I get these mounted up, but maybe some others will chime in. Think I'll take something bigger to AK this spring, but for long tours in soft snow around the Wasatch I think these will be amazing. My current everyday setup weighs over 10 lbs with bindings, so this will be a welcome change.

For me anyway getting a little wide for skating very fast. But they will work. Just about took a nasty header skating a short Nanga Parbat on groomers going mach looney.

Compared to a 112 for covering ground and still able to enjoy the down? Priceless...

quick question for you Cho skiers. I keep reading they ski short. I need a frame of reference compared to something I've skied. Anyone been on a 178 Manaslu and a 182 Cho and can compare how they feel length-wise? I'm hoping that they're similar, but "they ski short" is prominent in every Cho review I've read.

182 Cho turns easier, skis better every where than my 176cm BD Aspect did. Not a Mana but might give some comparison. 174 Cho ski like a wider 167 Broad Peak or 7Summit.

Cho is: 125 / 89 / 111 mm- 182cm
Aspect is: 127 / 90 / 113 mm-176cm
Man is: 122 / 95 / 108-178cm

Got them out for the first time today, skipping in some old growth trees with on super dense pow, some wind effect. Handled it all with style and grace. Amazing ski for what they are, probably write up a full review later.
