What does that have to do with preventing the Iraq war?!? Do bond price signals ripple backwards through time?

Musk was directly responsible for destroying USAID. Those cuts are killing people today. If they are not reversed, they will kill millions of people that would not have otherwise been killed.

Already, thousands of babies have been born with HIV that otherwise would have been healthy because their mothers medicine was cut off.

But hey, at least least your magic money is up, and that is what is most important.

"The ultimate cost of the nation's engagements in Afghanistan and Iraq, on top of the incalculable personal toll on combatants and civilians, reflects a shift in how war has typically been financed. From the American Civil War through the Korean War, the U.S. government has mostly paid for its conflicts through taxes and war bonds. But in the post-September 11 era, U.S. military spending has been financed almost entirely through debt."

Elon is a fucking side show. Comparing the dude who was arguably the first to successfully mass market EVs to literal mass murdering despots is insane. Do I feel for people who got their assistance cut off who legitimately needed it? Yeah, I do. But at the end of the day, the people running up the tab for their own benefit (hint: David Brooks and Paul Krugman et al. are their mouth pieces) are the real problem. BTC is just one tool to neuter them. I'm sorry if you can't or don't want to believe that.

Yeah, but your fallacy is believing that fiat money is what allowed it to be financed by debt instead of taxes or war bonds (which are also government debt, FYI).

It was a choice by the government to do that, and they could have made the same choice if the debt was denominated in gold, or in Bitcoin. As long as investors trust that the US government will pay them back, then the government will be able to borrow (at rates that reflect the risk of NOT being paid back, or that inflation will eat away at their investment).

Regarding Musk, if not for him, USIAD would have continued funding aid to the poorest people in the world. That aid was a tiny fraction of US government spending. Now people are dying. This is not some tenuous link.

If you think we never should have been providing aid, I guess you can argue that. But the fact that we are now not providing aid is due to Musk. His decisions are responsible for people dying right now.

And you just obtusely believe that your gov will always know what.to do. Which is moronic. The economic evidence is irrefutable.

The world will no longer want as much us fiat. It's that simple. We've been out over our skis for too long. 3T deficits forever. 60T national debt by 2035.

You must hate your children. What a guy.

More rate cuts, more printing, more debt, more weakening. Capital will look elsewhere

That is all a governance problem, not a fiat problem!

Bitcoin does not replace the need for competent governance!

It is also really fucking rich to say that we need Bitcoin to protect us from poor governance while the crypto industry is spending hundreds of millions of dollars to undermine good governance. It is a fucking racket.

No bro. I've been stating for years that unchecked imperialism is bad. People were fine pulling the lever for DEI hire Kamala and genocidin' with Biden in Gaza but lose their minds when Elon tries to cut gender studies for butterflies. Just look at you and Bunion... completely unhinged.

Sorry, are you suggesting that feeding starving people and providing AIDS medicine is imperialism?

Again, WTf are talking about. My wife and I both work full time, in private industry. Neither of us has ever collected unemployment.

But a strong stable government is what made us a rich country, and one party is destroying that as we speak.

And the fact that stale thinks Elon only cut butterfly studies speaks volumes about the bubble he lives in.

What good governance do we have? That ship sailed a long time ago. Chuck and Nance aren't going to save us and the genius Dem leadership has hired an obese chick to win over young male voters! Seriously, WTF?

And speaking of sociopaths, let's not forget the entire Dem party and all of their McKinsey brats, along with most of the media, who were totally fine with Weekend at Bernie's-ing Biden while they all scrambled to advance their own careers even though anybody with any semblance of reality knew bro was completely and utterly cooked.
