Putting on pants and boots: which first?

i've always been under the impression that you should always, put pants on before putting on boots. I thought I read this somewhere (but can't find anything that actually says otherwise). One of my BC partners, who was complaining about slop in his boots, thinks it doesn't matter what order you put the boot on in and hence always puts his boots on before pants. I suggested that maybe his slop was coming from putting his boots on before putting his pants on, he got defensive about it, busted out his boot's manual and said he couldn't find anything that said it mattered which you put on first…..

so now i'm here asking the tgr collective: SHould you put boots on first? or pants first? or does it not matter…

    thanks

def. boots first. It may take a while, but it's worth it. I ski noticably better this way.

But when do you put your socks on? I have heard if you don't put them on after your boots thats where the real trouble comes from

So I put the socks on after the boots, that makes sense, but then where does the BOOT GLOVE come in?!

If I put my boots on before my pants, I get my junk caught in the bails.

But if you don't bail down your junk, it's flopping all over the place and someone could get hurt.
