The only thing crazier than Ron on ttips is somebody posing as him here. It's a strange world.
I am fully aware that telemarking is stupid.
Why all the hate? As long as you can keep up I couldn't give two shits how you get down the hill.
And I don't think anyone is arguing that AT gear is stupid easy and there are some stupid light weight options out there. Nor is anyone arguing that tele is the easiest way to get back down. Last I checked though sliding on snow wasn't about doing the easiest thing possible, it was the feeling, the freedom, the rush. If easy is what you want stay on the couch. If you're doing a 100 mile traverse get some super light AT gear. If you're like the other 99% of us do what cranks your stoke meter.
Dont ask, dont tele.
long live the jahrator
tele makes groomers suck a little less.
oh, so this is about a real life place to ski tele, not just talk tele?... people still do that? Try the backcountry, there might be 4-5 other tele'ers out there somewhere.
There can't be a special resort for tele skiers, who would pay to keep it running?
Cops would be there full time dealing with fist fights over bindings, especially if the 3 pinners and ntn'ers go at it.
Patrol would be busy all day with broken skis, bindings and knees, plus all the shoulder injuries from trying to keep hands up too high.
With half the people skinning up, the other half skiing down, all the drugs and confusion, imagine the accidents, insurance cost would be high.
The only thing more crazy is replying to a thread started by someone impersonating the most annoying interneter ever to talk about tele... but it's a good chance to make fun, so why not?
they always have a dog, so the tele resort will need a dog park too. Training on bagging not schmearing the poop would be helpful.

I'd post something useful in this thread but I don't understand how tele relates to the internets really. Seems like a strange relationship. Love it, hate it, or live it. It has kept me going skiing as much as possible for over a decade since I took it back up in my early thirties as a way to refocus myself towards the hill and the sport of sliding. It worked and for the most part I'm past the double pole plant stage. Much pleasure derived from said knee bending sport. Almost always have training heels in my car for when I can't keep surfing the groomers because my legs tire. Almost never telemark anywhere but my home hill. All of the telemarkers I meet and ski with there are cool as shit.

quotables in most of these replies...
does that mean so much has been written that there's little or nothing new to be said?
I hope so.
The sad truth is that whine does not age well
TTalk is back in a new incarnation. Even Nurse Ben and a few other whiny little bitches.

I'm the best DPP in the West.
Maybe if you do enough drugs your fantasy telemark ski land might just become real life. Colorado sounds like a good place to start.
What do telemark skiers say to alpine skiers and snowboarders?
Dude, wait up!

Nothing about this thread makes any sense.
Carry on!
