socks, size to foot or boot?

So I run a couple sizes smaller in ski boots then street shoes. Do I get socks to fit my 10.5 foot or my 26.5 boot?
    A technical question for sure.

You'll need a dial caliper and strict deductive reasoning to figure that one out.. Good luck, call your mom if you need help

Check with SockFit University, they've trained qualified sockfitters around the country, by so, they have a list of Certified Sockfitter shops.

Your feet are 26.5. Your boots are 26.5. Your shoes are 10.5.

If you can wear socks in your boots they are sized too large for a performance fit. You should re-do a shell fit, then order several pair of plug race boots and keep the two that are most uncomfortable. You use the first most uncomfortable in the morning, leave the second most uncomfortable in your truck and swap to them in the afternoon when the skiing is less core. Otherwise how can you expect to keep up with the alpha bros.

I downsize my socks so much that I need at least three punches in them.

I am also a 10.5 shoe, 27 in a ski boot. I was buying and wearing size large ski socks (9-12) and would end up with them eventually stretching and the heel after a 1/2 a season would be up at my Achilles. I down sized to medium socks and find them much better inside the boot.

Demo first, you can't really tell till you ski em. Go smaller and a good sock fitter can always stretch em. Next up long underwear.
