    Realistic sizing for an intermediate

I am looking to hook up my buddy with some everyday 88mm EC skis. Hopefully get him in to off piste and trees this year. I demoed the Atomic crimson last year and I was really impressed by them. Ridiculous edge hold without much effort, but also damp and stable. I can score them cheap for him.

I am 5' 10"(178) 150lb and I found the 178 very easy to handle, but I been on skis all my life. He has 20lb on me and he is intermediate. His GF is ex racer and instructor. She's helping him improve quite a bit. Considering these are metal, supposedly slightly rockered(not really) should he go with 171 or 178 for EC?

Does his ex-racer, ski instructor girlfriend find that an issue?

To narrow it down, meetup requests on ECRC usually specify a coat color as well.

To address question, I'd go 178 and detune the edges.

Daught, how long you been hanging out here??? You know the TGR answer is as Hugh gave it to you. In reality.....170. Now GTFO or naked pics of said ski racing girlfriend.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.
