    Yup. my little sister pulled the same move when we were kids, but the nozzle fell out and sprayed her in the eyes!! She was fine after a dousing in the sink, but it was pretty scary.

    been gun shy about those latches ever since. always keep my hand on the nozzle.

    I'd gladly hold down the lever for as long as it takes, if the goddam full trip sensor didn't insist that my tank was full after pumping 1.02 gallons.
