No Bro, you are not so core that you don't need BOOT HEATERS!!!

Just pulled mine out after my 4 month snow break. Best invention ever for the fastest turnaround time and no wet AM boots. I use them for my gloves too.

All you bro core hard core dudes....go play some extra dice on the street corner and buy yourself this small luxury. I can smell your motherfucking boots from here.

    Pussy.

Never used boot heaters, and I live in MN. My winter trips are to MT. I know cold, and I'm cold-blooded to boot! I always dry my boots overnight though. Dry is the key. And good socks.

boot dryers and boot heaters. You never have to think about cold feet again for what, $200-300. Best ever. People may be smart asses about it until you are sitting there at -30 with warm toes.

4 Real, how dumb can DasCunt get?

You use boot heaters to dry your boots... big fucking deal...

It's called simple air movement. That's what gets shit dried. All you have to do is put a fan in front of your boots/gloves for a couple hours after you're done skiing and shit dries.

And since you're a badass Front Ranger this means all you have to do is put all of your shit in the passenger seat floor space of your car while you enjoy your 2.5 hour drive back to Denver!

Do those compromise the mold of Conformable custom footbeds (and similar heat-and-mold footbeds), ZipFit ceramic paste, EVA foam in Intuitions and the like, and possibly even the shell mold in Vacuums and/or X-Maxes?

It's DC - confusion is standard. I see heaters as the battery operated insole things. Dryers are fans, or if you're cheap, those little heated tubes that screw up your liners, and don't get things nearly as dry.

Combo of boot gloves and boot heaters work for my wife. I will use boot gloves on really cold days. Used to only be able get gloves on line up here but now see in some ski stores.

I think the advantage of boot dryers is that don't have to pull liners to dry. Which if you have heaters can't be good for the wires. I have heard one person say that their liners fell part due to all the times they pulled their liners out. True correlation? I don't know.

All I do know is dry liners in morning warmer feet. Dry liners less likely will stink. But if boots gets stinky take out insole and pour hydrogen peroxide on them, then rinse and let dry then put back in.

Drop-in boot dryers FTW. I sweat like a Viking in my feet, so it's important that my boots don't smell like the zombie apocalypse just ran through the Sahara.

Boot heaters? Never tried 'em. If the battery packs were smaller, I'd totally rock them on the cold days. Fuck being a gaper; warm feet mean more skiing. And up here, that means all the Texans and Floridians are holed up in the bar, which leaves more for the rest of us.

Stuck a pair of boots with Intuitions on a boot dryer rack in a rifugio once. Woke up the next morning to find a groove "melted" into the liner where the liner was resting on the heating coil. Not a disaster, not annoying. Be careful out there.

Never needed heaters with intuitions, but used to run hotronics in Langes. Warm as toast when they work, but more gizmos to fiddle with, batteries to charge, wires to break, battery mount issues.

Hotronics also makes nice, portable boot dryers (snap-dry) that circulate body temp air that won't deform your liner. Bonus for not having to pull your liners.

My dryers broke a few years back, but bringing the boots inside at night, and placing on radiant heat floors @ 35% humidity allows them to dry on their own just fine.

I liked my hotronics, but IMO mo-betta to just have warm liners. Less shit to fiddle with and break. YMMV

Heated boot bag. Warms and dries boots overnight. Plugs into car on the way up the hill. Bonus is boots are super easy to pull on in the morning. Drawback is that if your boots are really wet between liner and shell (please Lange make a fucking shell that doesn't need duct tape to be water proof) you need to pull the liner to get everything dry all the way.

I use these things since they travel well and don't make any noise. I usually remove my liners.

No...boot heaters and boot driers are NOT the same things. DOH!!

Boot heaters refer to those silly battery-operated wearable boot/foot heaters and heated liners from the 1980s. Damn things worked about as well as those ridiculous Smith or was it Carrera goggles with the battery-powered fan!!! Which means they worked like crapazoid!

Boot driers, on the other hand, are the cat's meow!!!

Pulling Intuitions out at end of day and keeping in a warm, dry place has worked for me. I'd probably go with boot gloves in a colder environment like MT or interior Canada. I'd like to get a serif boot dryers too.

Installed a lot of boot heaters for folks over the years. Lots of dads and husbands are quick to get them, keeps their wives and daughters happy on a week long ski trip. Seen quite a few of them come back in with issues too, maybe 5-10%. Most are quick fixes.

Big resistors make really good car boot warmers.

I think I have 2x 50W 6ohm for my boots. I feed them with my sub wire. Keeps my boots nice and toasty in the trunk.
