Dane, this is hypothetical at this point, I haven't done it yet for financial reasons. I don't seem to be affected too much by changes in ramp angle - I might be deluding myself, but I think I ski OK on the stock Plum or Dynafit ramps, and I can switch between my alpine setup and tech setups pretty smoothly. I've retrofitted Speed/Classic heels onto a couple people's skis with Comfort and Vertical toes to flatten out their ramps with success, though.
I always thought the older Dynafit heels were fine except for the limited retention in the forward/upward direction. I thought about swapping Plum heel pins, which seem a little stouter, into Speed/Clasic heels to see if they would hold me down better, or asking someone to machine some burlier pins, or making a wider "spreader" for the forward release thingy so it creates a sharper angle at max, or altering the angle on the heel plate of the boot, etc. but it was easier to just buy the Plums and go skiing.
Edit to add: Looks like Lou Dawson has the heel height for the Guide at 48.5mm, so maybe it would be an improvement. Got to measure again. Another thing to consider is how flat the Dynafit boot internal ramp is - never cut one open to measure it, but they feel lower in the heel than most other boots to me.
