Evacs expanding. If this bumps Tuolumne Road and 108 I'm toast.

Start making choices now so that you don't have to fiddle-fuck if shit gets real. It's only stuff, so first things first. Sincere best wishes.

We are still a few miles away, but this is some of the most active fire behavior I've ever witnessed. Might not stop this run until it hits 108. Many homes between hwy and the fire.

I'm reasonably organized. Camping / survival gear, skis, bikes, clothing, pictures.

I just put pollen/allergen filters on my swamp cooler. It was too hot, had to turn it on, and when we did, we choked. For $7, I'm impressed, 'specially since I'm still recovering from a wicked bronchitis that had me in the hospital. When the smoke blew in from the American fire, I had an asthmatics panic attack in the middle of the night and had to get my roomies inhaler to breathe.

There was video of a fire around Tok that was impressive. This fire makes it look insignificant. Vibes to those affected. Be safe.

    Ya ok so....

Unsure of my future. I've got one family staying with me and another coming, plus a Maggot or twothreefour, and we all might need to boogie elsewhere.

I'm borrowing a water truck and staging it at my house tomorrow. No hydrant nearby. I can't get my own engine, but I can push water through the TopKick if I need and can leave it here if a crew needs some H2O to protect my house and the neighbors'.

If shit rolls there are going to be a lot of houses gone way before it ever gets to me.

Holy shit Mike, thats a monster.

I was just in the Yosemite area, staying with family at Pine mtn lake, last weekend when the fire started. Groveland and all that are only being saved by the wind direction.

Take care, best of luck, and let us know what we can do to help.

    Mike,

If you have your stuff ready to go set up sprinklers on your roof, clear any flammable from around your house. Might think about making sure your fence isn't connected to the house anywhere. Lots of houses burn after the front goes through. Good luck.

Man. The Cherry Creek/Lake Eleanor area is burning. I've always wanted to backpack through that area. Looks like it's gonna be a few years.

    Stay safe, Mike.

Good advice, but Mike's an old hand at fire. I'd let him prep my house if it were in the path.

That picture of the hillside burning is crazy.

Shit, just saw this thread. Sending good wishes to Mike and anyone else in this fire's path.
