    SLC lodging

I have been searching for a furnished apartment in SLC for the 2013 -2014 ski season one or two bedroom. Other than some condos available downtown I have not found much of anything. Tried Craig s List and VRBO and other than an apartment complex off Union Park called Pinehurst (real nice) for $2000 per month I have not found a thing. I have skied SLC for the past 25 years so very familiar with the area. My trips have been only for a week or two at a time so hotels have been fine. We are retiring and are planning on being there late December through High Boy so about four months. We have passes at Alta so Midvale, Cottonwood Heights, Sandy etc is where we want to be, south of I-215 and East of State Street. Anybody have any ideas?

Did you try ksl? No one posts on Craigslist in SLC from what I've seen.

When I was in the same boat, all the furnished places I could find really wanted to charge a premium. It worked out a lot cheaper to rent a beater apartment in Cwood Heights, and take a trip to Ikea for basic furnishings. You should be able to get a place for $800 a month with a six month lease.

I was wondering if a combination of renting furniture + the finest that Desert Industries has to offer might work, never thought if IKEA, thanks. The frequent guest we will have can like the air mattress. I guess if you buy then donate at the end of the season as long as you keep your receipts you could get a nice tax deduction.
