Looking: Engineering in NY, VT, NH, ME or possibly out west

Currently still employed, but I am seeing the signs that it is time to look elsewhere. I no longer have any connection to the CNY (Syracuse) area, so I am looking to relocate closer to the mountains and possibly my family.

I'm a Mechanical Engineer with 4+ years combined experience in R&D, Product Design & Development and Manufacturing. My most recent position has been at a small engineering firm specializing in the design, prototyping and manufacture of carbon fiber composites. I have experience with composite layups (Prepreg and dry fiber), CNC Machining, Project Management, SolidWorks, Plastic Injection Molding and Automated Assembly cells.

    Interested in:

    • Composites
    • FEA
    • Vibration Analysis
    • R&D, Prototyping and short run manufacturing
    • Project Engineering
    • Outdoor Lifestyle

If anyone knows of anything opening up or has a connection in an engineering field in the North East please PM or post here.

    Bump.

I've had a few phone interviews and a few "Unfortunately we are in a hiring freeze" conversations, so I'm still looking around.

Maybe something in the oil/gas/mining world?
