Replacing the car--love it, but it's a little too small for us now. This car is beat--I have no idea what it's actually worth, but they don't make the turbo and/or XT anymore. I think a bearing is shot (very loud, doesn't seem to affect ride/mileage), driver's window motor is broken (won't open), CD player broken (radio works, 6 CD's trapped inside I'll have to get), probably needs new struts and brakes soon, all body panels have at least minor scratches/dents, rear bumper is barely attached and small crack in one brake light covering (from the same incident with idiot NYC snowplow/sanitation driver). Could definitely use a little detailing if you have a problem with a messy interior.
Has new tie rods, clutch, transmission (replaced six months ago), lower control arm bushings, new front wiper motor, new battery (3 months), timing belt and water pump replaced between 100 and 110k, oil has been replaced regularly with Mobil One, Subaru mechanic in NH pronounced the car in 'good shape' except for the body work. 140k miles. Fuel lid tends to catch so it's tricky to open sometimes. 25-26 mpg highway at 75 mph.
If a mag is interested I'll sell it to you--can take pictures at some point, but she's kind of like the Millenium Falcon--not much to look at, but she's got it where it counts.
Magic bumper stickers at no additional cost (and maybe snow tires if I can't use them on the next vehicle).
Probably letting this thing go by the end of July. If not you then possibly K A R S kars for kids or something. Last vehicle I just removed the plates and abandoned in a lot in Queens, so trying for something more sensible this time...
