For two great platforms.. there is a lot of bickering..

Funny how worked up people get about other people being worked up about shit they supposedly don't care about.

Seems like the iphones are still working pretty well.
So they weren't able to get their main competitor to give them the rights to the awesome mapping program or the swipe to type feature. Other than those two things, the iphone is just a better consumer instrument.
The idea that Apple would stop evolving their products is laughable. So sometimes it's good change and sometimes it's bad. Sure beats using a flip phone.

Wu..ww..wait. I thought people were supposed to switch from Apple to Android (despite all the evidence to the contrary) not the other way around

    Apparently you can't read:
"Samsung’s huge share of the high-end smartphone market also persuaded some analysts to downplay industry data pointing to a fast-saturating segment, a reality that is already eating into sales of Apple Inc’s iPhone 5."

Basically, people care about having a smartphone, not the LATEST smartphone, so both apple and samsung sales are hurting as people see no need to go from S3-S4 or iPhone 4 to iPhone 5.

I'm on the 2 year+ plan with phones. I laugh when the used market gets flooded with mostly brand new phones whenever the new ones come out with DB's paying extra to their cell provider to upgrade early. Dumbasses. This never was the case when we all had bricks or flip phones. Now its a status symbol or you just need the fastest proc to amuse you while out to the bar with your friends.

I had a iPhone 4 for several years and have been up for an upgade for a long time. After waiting and watching what Apple is doing I finally pulled the trigger on a 5 this weekend. My phone has been off the charger for about 7 hours and I am at 52%. Listened to music for about a half hour while doing errands and walking to work, along with surfing the web and texting during that half hour and while pushing mud. A little email and more texting in there, and the battery seems fine to me.

My phone gets used for about 5 things. Email, texting, web surfing, pics/video and phone calls. I do use a couple apps for checking sports, TGR, the weather, online banking, social networking, etc., but that all falls in with internet access. It is noticibly faster then the four having LTE, and a bump in processing performance. If I was trying to save the world with my phone, maybe I would be sad that I am restricted by Apple and can't add a laser, but what can you do?
