    PSA-Maple Hollow Dig Day-Draper Utah-April 27

Haven't seen anything on here about this, and I probably missed it, but comedig this Saturday morning (April 27) so we have a rad trail to ride this summer in Draper. Plan is to meet at the bottom at 10:00, go up and polish her up after a long hard winter (did I say long and hard, fkna I did, polish too) and then shred in the afternoon.

Bring tools if you got em. Bring beer too.
    Keep it unclipped

Ben and the guys at Alpine Trails are doing a great job over there. Unfortunately I have a friends going away party in Park City at 12 or I'd be there to help finish it up. I have a few friends planning on going out, hopefully they get a nice turnout.

I'll be there from 10-12...I have other obligations, ie. watching my wonderful children the rest of the day, but we need to come out and help people. The apathy in this town is off the charts....everyone whines about not enough jump and downhill trails where you can pin it safely, while only a small handful of people actually show up for digging because so many never want to give up a couple hours of their precious free time.

There is little better in mountain biking than hitting features and trail that you yourself helped bring to life.

Where is the meet/departure point? Is there any other sources for info on this event?

I actually talked to Ben about this earlier this week and he was thinking we don't really need that many people to come out. There isn't that much to do and/or that much that can be done since it's so dry already. The trail has been dry and riding well since Tuesday.

It certainly can't hurt to have a ton of people show up but I just don't see us working on it for that long. More time for riding I suppose.

Tron, the meeting spot is on Traverse Ridge Rd, in between Vintage View and Mike Weir. Look for a dirt pull out area on the east side of the road in between Vintage View and the guard rail.

Ben's a sandbagger...not sure about the rest of the work going on above us, but cutting the hill several feet back and creating a proper berm was no joke. Felt good and the little trail I got to ride was fun as shit. I think the hard part will be scrubbing speed so you aren't overshooting stuff. Flow is soooo much better than the original trail. Stoked!!

People doing hand work today probably got some appreciation of the original crew that built it several years ago by hand. Sure the flow was bad, but what do you expect in those conditions with a tiny team.

Yup, agree, it seemed like there was plenty of work for the crowd that showed up today. Nice to see such a good turnout to support freeride trails in UT.
