Really? They’re in a different cadence than you. Is it hard to let somebody pass? If they pass and get in the way, sure, or if you have to do some gyrations to let them pass. Maybe you’re hiking along a sheer cliff and have to risk life and limb to let them pass?

Otherwise I’m not sure why you’d bring that kind of aggression to a walk in the woods.

Not that I’m not weirdly aggressive plenty in my own life.

I've noticed that male hikers have been particularly bad about starting and stopping and starting and stopping lately. Then I realized that it's because they have to go off in the woods and drop trou to piss because underwear these days apparently doesn't have a cock slit.

Seriously? Some people like to just keep walking at a steady pace, some people like to take frequent stops, people are different. Not everyone hikes the same way and your way isn't the "right" way.

Had the kids at the local pool today and the lifeguards were playing music through a Bluetooth speaker.

Pool doesn't usually have music on, so I was appreciative despite it being a 17 year old's playlist.

Then out of nowhere I heard the distinctive bass line of Talking Heads "Psycho Killer" kick on.

Alright, I said to the boys. Finally a good song!

A full 4 bars of bass and then some shitty pop song kicked in.

Fuck sampling good music if you're gonna tease the song with it and then ruin it.

Mix it in with your stuff if you want, but don't just let it play.

Definitely annoyed.

Come on down to my pool. The guards are still teenagers but the music they play over the soundsystem this summer has been so choice. Dead, classic rock, 90s alternative even some classic hip-hop (radio edit versions). We even complimented them one day when we heard One More Saturday Night followed by the Pixies' Debaser followed by Beck's E-Pro.
