Snowbird UTAH Conditions - What are they like?

Hi everyone.

Go easy on me, I am new to this forum.

I am going to Salk Lake city on the 5th April 2013. I am planning to speak 2 days in snowbird (Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th April)

I am getting last minute jitters about snow conditions. Can anyone tell me what the conditions are like. I have checked historical snow reports etc but would be nice to hear it for a real person.

Last week sucked - spring conditions
this week improving - snowing righ now
2 weeks from now anyone's guess

What's the jitters regarding exactly? It's not like it's December and it hasnt snowed, there is plenty of coverage at Snowbird with most everything open. It's just a matter of if you are riding powder to some degree or packed down groomed stuff/off trail chop...too far out to know something like that. April generally can be very snowy though.

like was stated, this time of year the conditions change hourly. today should be great. by thurs it will prob suck. if we get some snow this wknd it should be ok.
