The past week has been my best week of the season. I spent most of the week up at Rogers Pass.
The first three days of the week brought some fresh snow and less than favorable visibility and stability for skiing anything serious. We decided to find some pillows. It was so great the first day, we did it for two more.
We did alot of smash, smash, smashing!
Road a few waves.
Visited some Orchards.
These three days were a complete blast to say the least! We only got a few photos because we were way too busy skiing. But I might add a few video clips later as well.
After three days of smashing pillows it was time to send out the minions to sess out some bigger lines. Another reason to do this was that I had to go to work
When I returned my minions had been skiing all kinds of big open powdery slopes. We had been browsing photos for hours the night before and decided to make a run for Swanzy.

It got steep so we opted for the boot pack.
It got STEEP!
At the top of the bootpack, just a little more climbing to go.

Looking back at the line while on route for the Dome. For scale, find the two people hanging out on the glacier. Only another 1500m of skiing to go
All in all, we had a great week. Its been fun and I hope everyone is getting after it out there and getting some!!

such clear photos even in storm conditions. Are you using a point and shoot or lugging around a bigger rig?

The photos from the pillows were taken using a 60d which I like to carry around when we aren't making any kind of a push but I decided to just take out the point and shoot for the day up Swanzy as I wasn't 100% what route we would take. Kind of wish I had taken the bigger rig now, it's hard to match the quality with the little point and shoots. Was all time none the less!

Awesome lines, thanks for sharing. I REALLY need to put Rogers Pass on the list ... I *almost* booked a trip this year, but alas, other choices came into play.
