Single skis or broken skis for mono-skiers and programs

    http://brokenskis.com
Hey all, I am trying to get a website going to help people find single skis. It would be mostly useful for adaptive skiers and programs but everyone can benefit from it. Check it out and post your single skis if you have a broken or lost match and can not use just the one. You might even be able to find a match to that lonely ski. Thanks. The webpage is Brokenskis.com Thanks.

I have always wondered what exactly makes a good ski for a sit ski cuz you got the weight of the rider and chair on one ski that was designed to carry < half that weight ??

a big stiff ski with a long turning radius?

They also use them for outriggers--not just for the sit ski. As of two years ago the adaptive ski school at AM was taking single and broken skis--I donated an intact ski and they wanted it's ripped-out-edge partner too. (And in the spirit of what I assume to be commerce--correct me if I'm wrong--the little cafe at the adaptive ski center, which was a fundraiser for the center, now is run by a commercial cafe from Tahoe City. )

Hey Thanks for posting. Yeah I am a sitskier and the best skis I have found are stiff skis about 175-188 in length. I use a Line Prophet 90 that is a great ski for mono-skiing. If you guys dont mind posting the skis up on the website or just shoot me a email if you have some skis I will Gladly get them up for you. I am hoping to get more interest in helping out a bunch of guys and ladys who love skiing as much as all you stand up skiers. Thanks again.

Thank you for the reply. If you want, I can post it on my website and when a Mono-skier is interested I can have them contact you and pay for shipping to have it. I can also find out if there is a local adaptive program near you that would want it. What is your home mountain?
