Hey mags - I'm flying into Billings on Saturday (leaving the abundant snow of SoCal to go to the land of very little... go figure). Anyway, I'm with some friends and our schedules are fairly open for the week. We were thinking about heading down to Jackson for a few days, most likely skiing Big Sky and Bridger, and perhaps Red Lodge for a few nights, as my buddy's folks have a place there.
Is anybody in the area who would like to make a few turns? Who's got the best snow at this point? I saw the post on Lolo pass, and that looks like a tempting trip, although we'd be doing it sans-sled...
Although now that I look at my plane ticket, I have a layover in SLC - If only I could get my bags there and just camp at Alta for the week and catch the second leg of my flight back home to LA. Too bad it doesn't work that way.

bridger is 100% open including the ridge w/ a transceiver & shovel, also touring options from the lot.... I'll be up at least Mon and Weds.... sunny softness southfacing midday and quality Nfacing chalk otherwise..... looks like its $37/day- and we do point em straight

Nice. I'm looking forward to skiing bridger, as I'm a newbie there. Don't think we'll actually be doing any hiking as my beacon just shit the bed and I'm waiting for a replacement.
Point em straight.. and ski like you're being chased by the Po-leese.
