Gore-Tex, Neoshell, Down, Primaloft, Patagucci, TNF, GoLite, HH, Osprey, Ortovox, etc
It's time for a closet-cleaning. All used/worn items have been washed prior to pictures and this listing, and none have been worn since.
All prices include shipping in the CONUS. Discounts available for multiple items.
First up, shells.
1. TNF Alpine Project, mens Medium. Orange. Gore Tex Active Shell. Super light, waterproof, and very breathable. SOLD.
2. TNF Jammu soft shell, mens Large. Polartec NeoShell - really nice material, now have a NeoShell jacket in a medium, much better fit for me. This fits much larger than I expected it would, so it's hardly been worn - essentially like new. $180 shipped.
Second, insulators.
3. Patagonia Down Sweater Special Edition, mens Medium. 900 fill. This piece speaks for itself. I'm not positive I want to part with it, I spend maybe 60% of my time I used to wear it in an Arc'Teryx Atom LT. Wife says I don't need both (I know, I know...), so I'm listing this with reluctance. Priced high, I know. I'm hoping it doesn't sell, but if someone wants it for $165 shipped, I'll let it go.
4. GoLite Demaree Canyon down jacket, women's Small. 800 fill. Color is "midnight blue," much closer to the following picture than the above picture, on my screen at least. Excellent condition. My wife likes the tall-ish collar, and stitching on the sides. She thinks it's a 'slimming' jacket. I like that it got her turned on to down without her feeling like she was wearing a garbage bag. Just down washed w/ Gear Aid down/synthetic detergent. GoLite is blowing these out on their website, so you guys win. Retail, $200. GoLite's sale price on their website right now, $99 + shipping. Get it here for $65 shipped.
5. TNF Jakson Hybrid jacket, mens Medium. Combination of Primaloft (body) and Polartec Powerstretch (sleeves). Recco reflector, and straps to help keep your beacon sling in place. $90 shipped.
6. TNF Redpoint vest, mens Medium. Primaloft. Tall collar, nice for keeping drafts out. Doesn't get used much, I typically either use a fleece vest or it's cold enough that I reach for a midlayer with sleeves. $45 shipped.
Pants.
7. Helly Hansen Legend, mens Medium. Black. These have seen about 10 days of use. Very little evidence of it. A very small (3mm?) cut very close to the edge guard, but hasn't effected their performance yet. I haven't done anything to repair this - if you request, I'd be happy to put a dab of seam grip on it, a piece of duct tape for steeze, or can leave it as-is, so you can repair it as you see fit (if you even deem a repair necessary. I suspect it'll be unlikely. SOLD.
8. Simms. They're orange. Pretty bright. The following picture does their color a lot more justice than the previous one (picture above is a better image of the color of the HH pants). These have much more use - maybe 40 days spread out over three seasons. SOLD.
Packs.
9. Ortovox Aquila 36. Great pack - bomber construction, very clean design, top-loader with hidden daisy chain and axe loops. Vertical/A Frame ski carry. Quick-access emergency tools pocket. Picture is not a good representation of the color - this is a black pack with black pack with grey accents/front section. Blacks appear to be the same shade in person, looks like the different panel materials chose to reflect light differently. Not sure what the white specks in the photo of the back panel are - must be something on the lens, as they're not visible in person. Free-floating hip belt carries really nicely. I'm now using an airbag pack though, rendering my non-bagged packs less valuable to me. SOLD.
10. 2012 Camel Bak Mule. Chili Pepper Red. Has only a few rides on it. Just not big enough for the times I'm on long bike rides and want to carry more with me. Only used with water, bladder/hose/valve just cleaned. $55 shipped
11. 2012 Osprey Raptor 6 (medium/large). This also only has a few rides on it. I bought it prior to the Mule, thinking it'd be plenty big. Wanted bigger. Got the Mule (10L, vs 6). Still want bigger. Only ever used with water; bladder/hose/valve just cleaned. Nalgene bladder fills really nicely. Was very impressed with this pack, so replaced both it and Mule with an Osprey Manta 20 and it's been perfect so far. $55 shipped
Finally, a bike helmet.
12. Bontrager Oracle, white/red, Medium. I currently have more helmets that I know what to do with. I've placed this one on my head, but can't see liking the fit of this more than that of my Lazers. Tags still on it, the 'rents had good intentions with this xmas gift, but didn't hit the spot for me. MSRP = $179.99. How about $65 shipped?
Price police, have at it/me if my prices are off. Best I can tell, everything is well-below wholesale and/or best online prices (except for my SE Down Sweater; but they're no longer available, and my listing it is more to appease the wife than anything...).
As per usual, Mags get preference, and I can sell to whomever I prefer. There's a chance a few of these will be going to friends locally - cash talks, you know the drill... Payment via PayPal unless I know you or we make other arrangements.
Trades? Only thing I'm looking for is a pair of 186 Renegades with room to mount inserts for small NTNs and Dynafits. If you have something else that you think I need, I'll hear ya out, but I think I'm pretty well set for now.Last edited by willmtbike4food; 01-24-2013 at 12:42 AM. Orange is their Alpine Project. It's Gore Tex Active Shell - TNF's website say's it's a hard shell. I'd agree, in that it doesn't really stretch (though doesn't seem to affect my range of motion), and doesn't have any insulation. Super light weight, and doesn't have the stiff, 'heavily starched' feeling that higher denier fabrics can create in hard shells. It's a Medium, fit is true-to-size. Here it is on their website: http://www.thenorthface.com/catalog/...ct-jacket.html
The black TNF is their Jammu jacket. It's Polartec's Neoshell fabric; definitely a soft shell. It does have a hard face that water beads up on and rolls off, but has a fleece backing. It is heavier weight and provides insulation in addition to protection from the elements. The fabric has some stretch to it as well. This is a size Large - and I would suggest that it's a much more relaxed fit/cut than other larges I have. Not necessarily a bad thing, but something I just don't feel quite as comfortable in - I've gained a bit of weight this winter (5'9", 180 lbs), and wearing a jacket over a heavier sweatshirt/sweater is a bit of a frustrating experience for me - I'm typically a medium in just about every piece of outwear I own (exception being an Arc'Teryx Atom LT hoody - L in that), but most being quite technical pieces have a cut to match - I just feel a bit like I'm in a sausage casing with the wrong layers for casual wear. I got this in a Large to have something I can wear casually, and have used it for a couple months now. For me, fit is great when over a few heavier layers, but if I want to wear it over anything a bit thinner/lighter, I feel as though I'm swimming in it, and for whatever reason I find that uncomfortable. I've really liked Neoshell as a material, so now have a medium Neoshell jacket, and this one just simply isn't being used frequently enough to justify keeping it, too. http://www.thenorthface.com/catalog/...mu-jacket.html for TNF's take on it.

More items sold, everything has shipped and all PM's again replied to. Dropped prices on some of the remaining items too. Still don't want to sell the Down Sweater, but having it listed is enough to keep the wife happy - she'll take a glance at the pictures, but no way she's taking the time to read things...
