    Yeah, girl.
Funny how many of the great skiers start out as SL specialists and end up being great in speed with training later in their career...

“Normally with downhill, I sometimes struggle to ski the course very fluidly. I try to ski the perfect line, but then somebody else skis something different, so I always feel like I’m chasing it,” she stated. “And today I kind of forgot about that part and just focused on the skiing.”

I believe AKK is good for her DH and superG. And

    She's a ski racer.
    like Killy.
    ( and most successful.

(( More successful than Kjetil or Primin or Girardelli.
    different than Annemarie )) )

( Very different than LindseyVonn who deserves some credit.
    And Bode )

Go! get 'em, Mikaela ! !!!

Shriffin finished second to Vlhova today in a WC slalom in Courchevel, on a rainy day on the Solstice.

This is a few years old now and may have been posted earlier in this thread but regardless it's one of the reasons she's so frickin' good. She loves it all! Drill, baby, drill!

Watching that makes me wish there were more places a random adult could just hop in and run slalom gates.

Anyone remember that Fuck wad on the FB Ski Racing Media page who claimed she was “peaked” because she ”wasn’t going to be competitive” anymore in GS. Haven’t seen him in a while…

Perino said something about the next SL win for America will tie Austrian for all-time. I need to dig into that stat, but that is astounding and a testament to Shiffrin the Evil Empire Slayer. I feel like she needs a Marvel comic book series in her honor.

Looking forward to viewing her 1st run from today.

How bout her and Vhlova being 2 seconds in front of the field in Courcheval?
League of their own right now in slalom, eh?

Margin of victory 2.34 in today's slalom?
Increasing her margin in the 2nd run?
    Unreal skiing.

Bummer about PM. Crazy that her victory was this large. Goes back to the pre-Vlhova days where she was winning SLs by that margin almost consistently.

We've all seen it before, but she is just sooooo smooth she makes it look easy. I think it has been a while since a margin like that over Vlhova that didn't involve a DNF by one of them.

She came on the FIS scene in 2010 starting at the back of the pack, finishing top 10s.
    Who is this girl?
Googled her and learned that she'd won both Topolino races the previous season by 3 seconds. Vhlova was fifth in that slalom if I remember right.
And she won one of the races at the Whistler Cup that year by 3 seconds, DNF in the other.
Not able to see any of those results now.
Anybody more savvy with that stuff?
Unreal that she has maintained that margin on occasion for her career to date...
