Vhlova and Shiffrin were stand above that second run.
Looked like they were skiing a fresh course.
Gonna be a great slalom rivalry tween the two this season, eh?

I truly never thought a woman could become the most decorated ski racer of all time. And she’s not done! What we’ve been able to witness by her skill and determination is just amazing!!!

    [emoji146] [emoji238] Such an accomplishment!

It was fun to make turns this afternoon reflecting and honoring her victory!

Beating everyone else by at least a second is huge. Those two continue to push each other to another level.

It looks like she deals with depression.
That shit is a energy stealer.
And she's not over it by her mannerisms.
I hope she can find some inner peace as she has the physical ability to dominate.

Gotta be tough to finish on the podium behind Shiffrin over and over again.

I really wish she would change her pasta sponsorship. Barilla is shit compared to DeCecco.

It was amazing watching Vhlova and Shiffrin in the second run. The other 28 were flailing and Petra and especially Mikaela skied it like it was an easy training set. Simply at another level and the only way one of these 2 doesn't win is if they make a mistake.

Actually, this is an argument I like. They obviously push each other so they both become better.
John McEnroe talked about how he completely upped his game so he could finally play with Borg, and then the dude up and retired and it kinda freaked John out.
I don’t know Petra as well as I do Shiffrin, because I think that Shiffrin pushes against herself, and almost doesn’t need Petra. It’s probably safe to assume the rivalry is good for at least a couple of the 90 World Cup wins

Vhlova has 20 wins and and 13 2nds in her 42 SL podiums, it can't be more than 13 in SL, 20 total 2nds across all disciplines out of her 68 podiums.

I'm guessing they've gone 1-2 less than it seems (ie not always).

Vlhova and MS 1-2 after run 1. Waiting for Alta lines to subside, might as well watch the 2nd run…

It's so frustrating to me that there's no free/easy way to watch ski racing.

    Ski and Snowboard app.
    8.99 a month.
    Cancel in March.
They save the races for viewing later too.
I gave up trying to find them elsewhere.
