    These are actually drawings

Yes, this 22 year old draws better than you. These are pencil on paper. Amazing!

The average six-year-old draws better than me, so that's not saying much.

    They're pretty cool though.

That is my favorite type of drawing.

I can't even get close to that kind of detail, but I can do pretty well.
I wish I would make more time for it.

    Wonder why I think I can't, hmmm...

Edit- here's a couple of mine.
The miner one is done on the back of an order form from when I was bored in customer service back in 1997.
I still work for the company, so it is kinda a cool memory. Have it framed in my office.

Honestly, I like yours better. Yeah, slightly amateurish, but they are effective. The original ones just look like he's copying photographs and, yeah, there's a heck of a "wow" factor, but ultimately you've got to ask: what's the point? If you want a photograph, take a photograph.

Heh- thanks. Not sure I agree with you though.

The level of detail he is hitting is nuts. I respect the talent, but wouldn't want something that looked that realistic.
It wouldn't be that difficult to get wayyyyy more detailed. Just way more time on each little part, and a way better set of pencils than a #2 and the back of an order sheet.

That is mind blowing. I wonder how long just one of those takes to complete.

so, he makes drawings that look like photos. Bravo. Why not just take a photograph?

Wouldnt it be a lot faster to just take a photo? How long did that chick have to have water dumped on her face for him to draw that?

Can you draw from your head? Few can.

I have to look at a picture to draw.

I can sculpt anything from memory. My brain is wired differently.

I had a school mate that could draw just about anything from his mind.
He is still an artist. He had an amazing gift.

Incredible drawings to be sure...and I do not deny the talent of thge artist. But sometimes the true art can also be found in the elementally simple.

The grace of the simple lines...art writ small instead of large.

It's less of an economy of movement than an abundance of gesture in the smallest of movements.
