How many pairs of ski pants do you own?

Given that I only average about 20-30 days a season I've only got two pairs of ski pants. Curious as to how many different pairs people out there use on a regular basis. Consensus generally seems that people have 1 or 2 shell jackets and multiple pants. How many pairs of ski pants do you have and why?

I've never owned more than one, even when I skied 80 day seasons.

1 pair. Unless you count old ones that I don't use but haven't thrown out for whatever reason.

1 pair of bibs and one pair of insulated, with the bibs doing double-duty as winter hiking gear.

    Three:

Tech waterproof shells - most of the time in winter
Padded baggies - for hucking shit and not splitting my chin open
    Schoeller softshells - spring/summer touring

I could easily consolidate the first two, but I got the padded ones super cheap.

I guess I also have some old ones for glissading/cramponing that have lots of holes and duct tape.

Gear whore checking in. I have every color you could think of. Don't ask me why, as I have no fucking clue.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

my outer layer never changes. it matches. (see avatar)

Cold day? Wear a t-shirt and sweat pants below.
Really cold day? T-shirt + Hoodie and possibly hot chilis under the sweat pants.
Blizzard? Same as really cold day
Rain? Tough it out for 3 runs until i'm totally drenched and call it a day.

btw - I never wear a gater (neck warmer, face mask, w/e you call it).. I hate breathing in warm air. Helmet serves as my ear/head warmth. On very cold days (which we don't get in Tahoe) I'll pull the hood under my helmet and go.

At least 4, maybe 5 or 6. Seems like every time I look in the bag there's another pair of ski pants. I haven't bought a pair in probably 10 years and don't even know what they all are.

3+ pair of that 2 pair I would wear regularly and why >1 pair?

Upgrading for cheap because I don't buy gear when "they" want me to buy gear I buy when I want to buy ... you can do that if you watch for the deal

I never shop the internet deals just happen be ready with cash in hand to buy when you see the deal , the last score was arcterxy gortex shell pants for 82% off ... I had to buy them

Depends on how you define "ski pants".

    One pair hard shell pants

    one pair soft shell bibs

guide pants that I sometimes wear for spring skiing, but not "ski pants".

I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...

6 bibs and 8 or 9 pants, I sold 3 bibs and 1 pant since last season. Choice is good.

    4 pairs

Cross pants that see most mountain days, baggy lots of room for movement no hang ups, waterproof no insulation, wear long john bottoms on cold days, spandex the rest of the time.

Rip curl, for local resort days, bushwackin days, early season rock days. No insulation

Soloman soft shell pants with fleece like liner. Wear in the spring and shovelling etc.... Not waterproof enough

MEC shell pants, used for gate bashing, dirty work, keep in the vehicle as just in case for winter. (don't see many on hill days anymore.
