    Phenix Jackets?

Just plopped some money on a Phenix jacket on STP and was wondering if mags had any insight into their fit and quality.
There is very little in the way of reviews but appear to be well made, albeit from china...

The uniform of a ski school I used to work for was made by Phenix. Good quality, certainly lasted for ages, but the styling was/is... a bit Spyder...

    ...which is nice.

Somebody once deleted a thread about zip-off sleeves, a man named fez, and an XXXL black chinstrap.

definitely racer headed oriented, right up there with Spyder

I worked at a retailer and would have to say the quality is first rate

Definitely not the racer type either, maybe this jacket will conflict with my tendency to drop a knee?

So the Phenix Geiranger in size Large finally came in and I tried it on.

My first impressions on the stretchy 4 way outer fabric- doesn't seem tough enough for trees, or crashing on ice.

Fit is pretty athletic 6'2" ~185 lbs, and was spot on for layering, however being a (primaloft) insulated jacket that was hardly a consideration.

Lots of little stupid features I couldn't care less about, flip down pass holder, MULTIPLE phone/mp3 holders in same pocket?, a rear pocket, $900 MSRP....

Biggest flaw that sealed the deal for me returning it were the poor excuses for pit zips. Hardly covers the triceps. I really wanted to like this but I think Ill be sticking with a non-insulated hardshell here in New England. Carry on.
