It makes you sad that not everyone celebrates the same myth that you celebrate?

    That's weird.

I celebrate Christmas and I'm not even Christian.

It's a holiday, an excuse to get together with folks you care about, and it also makes people kinder and more generous. While it would be nice if people were that kind and generous all the time, better a few weeks of the year than not at all.

Plus I like the smell of pine trees.

What's mythical about spiked nog? Xmas is just the name I give to a week of being fat.

Nice leap, dumbass. No, it just gets me down that people are missing or just passing up an opportunity for getting together and having a little party or feast. And at some level the tradition of a solstice celebration is a nice break and an opportunity for a little cheer.

But I don't want to miss this opportunity to say that you're a sad waste of fresh air, DBS. It wouldn't bother me much to hear about you spending time alone when others are getting together with friends and family and celebrating their regard for each other.

And I'm what most people would call a godless heathen.

Okay, maybe that was a little harsh. I just don't like inferences that I'm religious.

    1) Attend weddings other than those of my closest friends/family.
    2) Buy wedding gifts. Seeing as I'm not likely to marry, taking a massive net loss on this resource redistribution is unacceptable.
    3) Engage in political or religious discussions except with fellow apolitical atheists/agnostics.
    4) Spend too much time on internet forums (if this is opposite day).

    I didn't say that I didn't celebrate anything. I said I don't do Christmas.

On occasion I will wait for food if it is a really good place. I will also wait for up to 3 minutes in a lift line, any longer and I am off. That's the main reason I don't ski at Smuggs anymore.

Curious. Do you only go to empty bars, do you simply deny yourself a drink if it's crowded, or do you just barge your way up to the front past the other people waiting and dare someone to punch you in the face for it?

Standing outside. That's how I took it. And I agree.

Oh, got it. Makes much more sense, and definitely agree.

Come to think of it, lift lines are probably the only line I wait in, mostly because the alternative is not skiing.

working for a-holes that profit from my efforts.
acting like the skiing is good when its not just cuz the jongs are stoked.

Huh - I'm almost the exact opposite. The Black Keys played here at the Verizon Center and I refused to pay $70 for being stuck in a shitty seat in the nosebleeds. I'd much rather stand near the bar in a smaller venue and be able to feel closer to the music and musician. The only venues I will pay for a seat are Ampitheaters or smaller theaters where all seats are good. Fuck Arena/Stadium shows that don't have at least a GA floor.
