    SSV BC Feb 07 2005

Since PM and I missed the snow over the weekend we decided to head out today and see if we could find some left overs off of the beaten trail. Turned out to be a quality day, fresh snow, sunshine and warm(er) temps.

Apology for the quality of the picts, my brother is the photog.

    Nice Morning

Not waist deep but nice none the less:

It's not so much the model year, it's the high mileage or meterage to keep the youth of Canada happy

OMG, that's some real purty pix, Bro. Can't wait to see the vid clips.

Even after three straight days of getting the goods, I am choked to miss today's turns. Hopefully the winds will stay down and keep things good for later in the week. Maybe Thursday? I need to do some blue sky pix.

Have to be Friday, Thursday I'm at a client. PM and Jim are looking to go as well. Pat had some binoculars along and when we were at the top taking a break for lunch we saw some skiers way SW climbing what looked like a sweet run. A bit of a hike to get to, but a lot more vertical once your there. PM was also suggesting Wawa Ridge.

Big wind event happening right now. In Banff, winds 22-44 kph, at Nakiska ridgetop, 73 gusting to 114 kph. Looking west from Calgary this morning you could actually see the snow coming off the peaks.

There is going to be some serious slab issues by Friday.

Keep checking the evening avy reports.
