2012 Season Highlights - a "bad" year in UT

Packed up a bunch of winter gear today and got sentimental, decided it'd be a good time to share some stoke from this past season

    Early season was quite thin

Some of our tours looked like this...

But eventually it snowed - it is the Wasatch after all

Superior looking nice with a fresh coat in January

    Inbounds fun

But with the snow came some pretty heinous avy conditions, meadow skipping was in order

Scored a trip to Seattle for work and got days in at Steven's and Crystal
Mt. Rainier poking through the clouds

Crystal was awesome, all sorts of fun hike-to

Back in UT... 1thelady1 getting some

In early March I got to visit CPG in Girdwood, AK. We scored big time and had an amazing week of skiing. Full TR some time in the future. Most details at thenaton.com/adventures for those who click links. For the rest, a short vid and a couple of pics

I'm also organizing another trip this spring with CPG, PM me for details if you are interested in joining.

Back in UT once again, winter came on March 20th with a great cycle that dumped several feet of fresh

A visitor enjoying his good timing

    And a powdershot

And then it went blue. One of the few deep, stable string of days we had and we definitely tried to make the most of it

Telethor making the most of his return to the wasatch

Couple of weeks later, had a nice after-work tour in LCC

Then tried out before work, mid-april

The views were awesome, couldn't ask for a better back yard

After that it was a few more weeks of ripping fun corn at the bird and the season came to an early close, with the bird closing May 13th

Nother powdershots pic but a pretty sweet one

And to close things out, we got a nice dump on memorial day weekend, here 1thelady1 closes out the 2012 skeason in style

So in the end, an incredible season and one that just goes to show, a bad year here is still better than pretty much anywhere else. Thanks for looking

This was a well needed dosage of stoke! Awesome!

nice how some good photos can help you forget how bad last winter was.
If ski companies didn't make new skis every year I wouldn't have to get new skis every year.
