Arrow Rooted Android oweners: Help needed

I need to get my hands on an free Android app, but don't have access to an Android. I believe you need to have a rooted phone/tablet to be able to pull off the APK of an app downloaded from Google Play.

For a variety of reasons (mostly security) my desktop support guys use Playbooks (as do I) and would like to grab the APK for GoToAssist for them so I can convert it to a playbook .BAR and give them the ability to remote into PC's from their tablets.

So if someone could download it (it's a free download) and pull off the APK installer for me I'd really appreciate it. Am willing to paypal a few $'s or send out a 4pack of Heady Toppers as a thank you for helping out.

    Thanks.

You do not need root access to install this. However it does ID your phone model and the version of software you are running on your device to install the correct version. However you may need to have root access to get the .APK file extracted off the phone or have a file manager app on the phone (some of which require root)...

I have a backup copy of the GoToAssist-77.APK if you need it. It is for Android version 2.3.4 off a Droid 2 Global.

Could be right - I don't know much about Androids. I know anyone with access to the google play store can d/l it for free, but just kind of assumed that you'd need to be root to pull the installer APK off of the phone.

If anyone has an android & doesn't mind trying I'd appreciate it. I'm hoping that RShea's APK will work, but I don't know for sure so the more the merrier. From what RShea said, there are different versions for different android devices, so maybe one from an android tablet would be the best option for me to convert for use on the playbooks?

Welp, one down. Thanks to RShea, I got my hands on a APK for version 1.0.77.0 but it crashes on launch

Doubtful there are many PB users reading this, but feel free to give the converted bar a try yourself. I'm on the 2.0.1 software - curious if it might work with the older 2.0 OS.

I'm going to try calling Citrix (although I doubt they'll be able to help) but would really appreciate it if someone with an android based tablet cound give it a shot.

    Yep,

Basically I had root access then Motorola pushed a new version down and bye to my root. However I still have Astro on my phone as a file manager and even though I lost root- it allows for app backup and browsing files, etc.
