In what has been so far a "low water" year we got some rain the other day. Most notably upstream.
a mellow fun run ensued

Nice, looks like a fun day was had.
I don't work and I don't save, desperate women pay my way.
Awesome video. Looks like it was a good time. I'm trying to get into kayaking...still having trouble with my roll...
Oh Boi!
See what you made me do

Rock Creek at the base of the Bearthooth Pass. First time kayaking with a Go Pro. May have to purchase a helmet cam era for next season.
nice, is that a Thrillseeker?
Sure is. I love that boat, get to paddle everything that all my kayaking buddies paddle with no dead leg at the end of the day.
That looked like a fun creek

Thrillseekers are fun, I have one with the inflatable floor upgrade. Nice craft to take beginners out in.

No radness related stoke - I sold the kayak years ago - but some solid daddy stoke. Finally had a chance to get the kid on the water for a little rafting weekend. We camped at Glade Creek on the New and did Glade Creek to McCreery both days. This was a pilot run to see if she could handle an overnighter later this summer. She loved the rapids and floating on the river, but my doubts were fully squelched when we were all packed up to leave and I asked if she was ready to go. Her response was: "Can we stay another night, Daddy?"

N. California Summer at it's finest
Yeah bitches.... Took the Kansas River from Lawrence to KC earlier this summer. ~40 miles without much current at all for my first time in a boat since I was probably 13. Shoulders were a biiiit sore. But it sparked a new hobby, so I just started building my own wooden kayak from Guillemot Kayaks.

amazing that there was no carnage on the Suskwa in a group of 15 except for the guy who was tooo hungover to paddle
Nice shots MP!

Wurd! Nice to put in with ya... next time you should paddle with teh fun group instead of the sloooow group
That is a great run. The canyon is pretty amazing (but all canyons are) and it was quite the group. Solid finish with the Kispiox festival, it had been a long time since I have done a outdoor music fest... fuck me there were a lot of kids running around, is that normal for these things? (although the yoga demo off to the side provided some quality veiwing)
Getting out of the boat sure helps... I need to go back to the JONG school of posting pics, wtf is up with the thumbnail veiw![]()

those surf waves at the start were just too good to rush and with a group of 15 I thot it was good to break it up anyway cuz its too hard to keep track of a big group ... IMO no more than 5 to a group is ideal
yes there were some FINE looking young things not wearing many clothes with the hot weather, I was down in Kispiox to do a raft shuttle today and according to the locals they did some big numbers at the gate

On the way home via one of many mtn short cuts I know and use I found this after a hard downpour and severe T-storms. Only 3 minutes before I got this vid the stream had been 1/10th the flow shown here.

Another shot of same from the top, I had my TS and gear but I was by myself so I did not ride.

While there is no river in the picture, one of the kids I just spent the last 3 weeks teaching how to paddle is already passing along the skills to his younger brother.
