Cheap place in Berlin?

So we have to be in Berlin for a week in the end of June. The old lady is going to a conference in the Friedrichshain, so that neighborhood or a short U/S-bahn ride away is what we want. What cha got?

Prenz is dope but if you can stay kreuzberg, much better. Ubahn everywhere. Walking distance everywhere. It will be much pricier than prenz though.
