Long story that I will elaborate on further if anyone is interested, but I have a pair of Barons with the tour lever broken. Marker sent me replacement parts via my dealer that include new base plates, the pivot rods, and circlips. The included instructions which have the obligatory "should be done by the dealer" has about six photos and then one sentence in twelve languages - check the technical service manual for instructions.
So, the first picture has a flat head screw driver and an arrow going down and to the tail? The second, maybe a drill bit drilling out the end cap?
Obviously I don't want to butcher these things trying to understand these cryptic drawings and don't seem to be able to put my browser on a pdf of the manual. Any techs around with the book that could give me a reader's digest of the procedure?
Or maybe reference to another thread? I did search, but all I could find were other people looking for the manual.
the answer as it seems is that the replacement parts that were sent are for the older version - now the front pivot is rivoted into place there is no at home fix - back to Marker via the shop for the second time - schweet!
perhaps I'll spill the whole saga at a later date as it is right inline with the warranty horror stories of these bindings over the last few years
