    Bent Ski Fix?

So I just got word from Colorado Ski and Golf that my slightly bent LBFs have been fixed by Dynastar and they are sending the same skis back to me.

Well, I didn't think they could fix a bent ski. Won't this create a weak spot on that ski? Has anyone else turned in bent skis for warranty and received the same one's back?

Just my .02Cents of experience. I had a friend who bend a pair of Volkls at Blackcomb and he sent them back. Volkl said that they couldn't fix them. He later (with shitty luck) bent the replacement pair. Once again he was told that they could not fix them. The explination was due to the metal sheets not having memory and therefore once bent past a "certain point" they would never be the same, or ski the same for that matter.

Hope this helps...but i don't know shit about shit...and def nothing about the little bigs.

Bent skis CAN be fixed. It depends on the severity. It is a process of heating it up gradually and placing it between two pegs and making a series of bends to bring it back. I would assume that if Dynastar said they fixed it, then they probably did. I'm sure if anyone has the know-how and means to do it right, they do.

look at my spat-u -lette thread, this explains how I am slowly acheaving a bend....preasure heat and time...5 degrees took me 48 hours with a 1200w heater being used 30% of the time and the skis bent 3x as much as I wasnted the bend..
