Binding Destruction: Crash restructionist help needed

So I was maching along this cat track and cut up the high side to hit a nice booter. Immediately upon my left binding reaching the transition from flat surface to incline, the rear track shits the bed and said ski promptly takes its own line for about 300 yards down, and leaving me in a heap in the nearest tree well. I proceed to gather up all the parts, send my son after the renegade ski, and proceed to gimp it on down the hill.

Now I'm looking to get some insight as to what I can do now: Is shit like this warrantyable? Can one buy replacement parts? Is the other side of the binding pair going to leave me in a lurch at an unsuspecting high speed moment? Any thoughts and advice would be greatly appreciated.

It's likely repairable. Most decent Salomon dealers will carry these parts as you are not the first one to have this happen to. More like the 54,232nd to have it happen. Best thing to do is get the STH 12/14/16. Same hole pattern with one extra hole. Way more bomber.

+1 This is an unfortunately common failure. Salomon dealer will fix it, but it'll take weeks for the part to ship.

Your best bet is to replace with a Salomon STH series binding. You'll never look back.

Local shops may have the part--I had the same problem 2 years ago--found one heel track locally (Tahoe) and ordered another one (turned out the other binding was cracked too) and had to wait to beginning of next season to get it.

Props to Phirley! He hooked me up with needed parts for a very reasonable price. He even offered me an awesome deal on some STH's, unfortunately my broke ass couldn't take advantage of it.

And Skidog, my kid requires me to show off; he's the only person in the world who thinks I'm good at skiing! I am forced to oblige.

Here's a photo of him yesterday.
