I remember Nelson. And I had those gloves. I also remember Paul Mitchell being a huge sponsor. I was a slalom boy out of MN.
I was graduating HS at this time, and Brant Moles & Seth Morrison were winning Crested Butte. I guess it's probably obvious which way the TGR crowd leaned when given the choice 30 years ago. Do I go chase conservative FIS money? Or, do I go chase punk and no money?
