    Atomic Race 614 binding replacement

I have some worthless Atomic Race 614 heel pieces. Has anyone ever tried replacing the heels or the entire set with another brand? If so, are the mounting holes the same?

Atomic bindings are garbage, and those heels were probably recalled anyway.

Cut your losses, and be thankful you haven't torn up your knees. Throw away those Atomic bindings and move on. You'd be happier with ANY other brand of bindings (but the consensus around here is to go with Salomon or Rossignol/Look.)

Are the mounting holes for Salomon or Rossignol/Look the same as the Atomics? The mounting plates are pre-drilled and I don't want to F around with the bindings and skis too much....

Anyone have any recommendations on which Salomon or Rossignol/Look binding models will work on the binding plate that came on the Beta Ride 10.20s?

    Nope. Totally different.

^^^. Yup. Pull the plates, fill the holes, and mount 'em with something else.

The skis are the Beta Ride 10.20s with the un-flat beta profile and the plate fills in the groove that runs the length of the ski. I really think I'm fucked.

I think I have a couple of 12 din heels in the basement if you want them. I'd have to check the date stamps but iirc one is good and the other needs to be sent in for replacement. Pretty sure atomic will still swap em out tho? Where did yours break? Heel cups? Google the recall, they might be covered.

Thanks! Both heel cups are broken. I'll check with Atomic to see if they will do anything. The shop I got them at said that Atomic wouldn't replace them but I haven't looked into it for myself yet.

If you pull the heels from the track and look underneath them you should be able to see a little circular date stamp. If your date is on the list above I'm thinking you're good, although the recall was a few years ago so they may have stopped replacing them. Worth looking into tho, good luck.

The 10.18's weren't bad bindings and I'm pretty sure they had the same mount pattern. They may be too burly for you though depending on your din. Beta Ride 10.20's? Damn dude, I can't think of a single reason I would keep skiing those. If you want the race feel for groomers, you can pick up a pair of used race skis for $150 with binders.
