3 weeks later and my thumb is still messed

I went back in for a three week look. Three weeks earlier they knew I had a chipped bone in there, and figured I just partially tore a ligament or two.

Well I still have no range of motion, can't pick things up, etc. So they MRI it. They got all exited and were pointing to the picture of my thumb and spouted off all kinds of shit I didn't understand.

Then the doc states that my joint is sublexed, which may not be the word he used, which means shit to me. But he sent of the MRI to a leading expert - yeah that's going to be cheap - and I go back into a hand surgeon today to see what needs to be done.

Wish they would have done the MRI three weeks ago.....

Subluxed means partially dislocated. Patially dislocated means ligament stretching and tearing along with the little chip fracture.

Sorry man, maybe the specialist will have good news for you. keep a (+) attitude. But if you need surgery do it. You don't want to have a facked up thumb for the rest of your lift.

If they are calling for surgery for ligament repair...go for it. I just had the surgery...two days intense pain <even with the pills), then 1 week in a splint...took stitches out at 8 days and doc put me in a hard cast i could ski in. I am skiing now (no poles and a little more careful than usual). It beats a limp thumb. Good luck to you
